Xiaomi, the tech giant making significant waves in the automotive world, recently distributed over 100 million yuan, which is about $14.2 million, in generous cash bonuses to its dealerships across China. This strategic move, arriving just before the new year, is a clear thank you to its expanding network of dealers. Imagine getting a “red envelope” with up to $568,000, as some fortunate dealerships did! It’s a testament to Xiaomi’s commitment to its sales force and a sign of strong growth in its automotive division.
This substantial payout is divided into two tiers:
- For dealerships established in 2024, a bonus of 100,000 yuan ($14,200) per store.
- Newer stores, opened before December 15, 2025, received a hefty 500,000 yuan ($71,000) per store.
Expanding Footprint and Surging Sales
Industry insiders suggest these subsidies are a direct response to the rapid expansion of Xiaomi Auto’s sales channels and its correlating surge in sales. By the end of November, Xiaomi Auto boasted an impressive 441 stores across 131 Chinese cities, complemented by 249 service outlets in 144 cities. The growth has been relentless, with 71 new stores added in just three months—32 in September, 22 in October, and 17 in November. Xiaomi has even bigger plans, aiming to add another 36 stores in seven cities by December.
From Tech Giant to Automotive Powerhouse
Xiaomi officially entered the automotive industry in March 2021. Fast forward four years, and they have already launched two compelling models: the sleek SU7 sedan and the versatile YU7 SUV. The company hit a significant milestone on November 20, with its 500,000th vehicle rolling off the production line in just over one year and seven months—an astonishing pace for a newcomer.
Financial Triumph and Future Outlook
The financial figures speak volumes. Xiaomi’s EV revenue reached a staggering $4.10 billion in the third quarter alone, marking a phenomenal 197.9% year-on-year increase. Sales performance has been equally impressive, with cumulative sales hitting 361,600 vehicles in the first 11 months of the year. The SU7 led the charge with 247,000 units, while the YU7 contributed 114,600 units. Monthly sales figures have shown consistent upward momentum throughout 2025, climbing steadily from over 20,000 units to beyond 45,000 by November.
Xiaomi’s aggressive expansion, coupled with substantial investments in its dealer network and robust sales, clearly positions it as a formidable player in China’s incredibly competitive EV market. They are not just building cars; they are reshaping the landscape with impressive speed and financial muscle. It looks like Xiaomi is set to continue its high-speed climb in the electrified future of mobility.
