Chery’s premium brand, Exeed, is making waves in the crowded Chinese EV market with its latest offering. The company just launched the Exeed Exlantix MX, a mid-size SUV that blends striking design with a high-tech interior and an extended-range powertrain that leaves range anxiety in the dust. Marketed in China as the Exlantix ET5, this vehicle enters a fiercely competitive segment with an aggressive price tag, positioning itself as a serious rival to popular models like the BYD Song L DM-i.

The Exlantix MX isn’t a typical EV. It’s an extended-range electric vehicle, or EREV. What does that mean?
