Chinese NEV November Sales: A Deep Dive into the Electrified Market

China’s new-energy vehicle (NEV) market is absolutely buzzing, and November 2025 delivery figures are here to prove it. We’re seeing a fantastic mix of established automakers flexing their muscles and dynamic startups making serious waves. This isn’t just about selling cars, it’s about fundamentally reshaping the country’s electrified automotive landscape, and frankly, it’s a thrill to watch.

BYD Dominates, Others Accelerate

BYD continues its reign as China’s NEV king, shifting a whopping 480,186 units last month. While their overall sales saw a slight dip of 5.25% year-on-year, their battery electric passenger vehicles really bucked the trend, jumping a solid 19.93%. Plug-in hybrids, however, saw a 22.41% decrease. Drilling down, their Ocean & Dynasty series accounted for a massive 423,558 units alone, with FCB, Denza, and Yangwang also contributing. What’s more, BYD’s overseas NEV sales are hitting record highs, exceeding 130,000 units. It’s clear their strategy is paying off, with cumulative NEV sales now soaring past 14.7 million units, cementing their position as China’s largest NEV manufacturer.
