China’s new energy-vehicle market continues its electrifying pace, with November 2025 delivery figures showcasing both the enduring strength of established players and the impressive ascent of innovative startups. The latest data reveals critical insights into which brands are capturing the hearts and wallets of Chinese consumers, collectively shaping the nation’s rapidly evolving electrified landscape.
BYD Dominates, Others Accelerate
Leading the charge, BYD delivered approximately 480,186 NEVs in November. While this marked a slight year-on-year dip of 5.25%, its battery electric passenger vehicles surged by 19.93%, totaling 237,540 units. Plug-in hybrids accounted for 237,380 units, reflecting a 22.41% decrease. Key contributors to BYD’s impressive numbers included 423,558 units from its Ocean & Dynasty series, 37,405 from FCB, 13,255 from Denza, and 703 from Yangwang. With overseas NEV sales hitting a new record over 130,000 units, BYD’s cumulative NEV sales now exceed 14.7 million, solidifying its reign as China’s largest NEV manufacturer.
SAIC Group also posted strong numbers, reporting 149,900 NEV sales. Its sub-brand IM Motors achieved 13,577 units, marking its third consecutive month above 10,000. SAIC Passenger Vehicle sold 42,000 NEVs, boosted by the MG4 Anxin Edition, while SAIC Maxus exceeded 8,000 NEVs, and SAIC-GM added 11,000 to the total.
Geely, HIMA, Leapmotor, and Zeekr Shine
Geely NEV, encompassing its popular Galaxy series but excluding Zeekr and Lynk & Co, delivered a robust 132,661 units, highlighting the success of its diverse plug-in hybrid and fully electric offerings. The Galaxy series continues to be a cornerstone of Geely’s NEV expansion, bolstered by strategic electrification and strong consumer interest.
HIMA, the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, recorded an impressive 81,864 deliveries in November—an 89.61% year-on-year jump and a new monthly record. Meanwhile, Leapmotor also hit a record high with 70,327 vehicles delivered, representing a year-on-year increase of over 75% and extending its strong growth streak to nine consecutive months.
Zeekr and Lynk & Co, reported separately from Geely’s main figures, collectively moved 55,146 NEVs. Zeekr contributed 28,843 units, while Lynk & Co added 26,303 NEVs.
Other Notable Performances
Changan Auto reported 125,000 NEV sales, up 23%, achieving its third consecutive month above 100,000 units. Within its portfolio, Deepal delivered 33,060 units, and Changan Qiyuan reached 46,909 units.
Chery Group announced 116,794 NEV sales in November 2025, a 50.1% year-on-year increase, marking a new monthly record and its fourth consecutive monthly rise. Exports were also strong at 136,728 vehicles, up 30.3% year-on-year, maintaining the group’s leadership in China’s auto export rankings for the seventh straight month.
Great Wall Motor recorded 40,100 NEV sales, an 11.43% year-on-year increase, alongside a record 57,300 overseas sales.
Xiaomi Auto continued its impressive run, delivering over 40,000 vehicles and expanding its national service network to 131 cities.
XPeng delivered 36,728 vehicles, a 19% year-on-year increase. GAC Aion saw 36,288 NEV sales, while Nio posted 36,275 deliveries—a significant 76.3% year-on-year jump. FAW added 35,500 NEV sales, and Li Auto contributed 33,181 units. BAIC delivered 32,328 NEVs, showing a 113% year-on-year increase, and Voyah added 20,005 vehicles, firmly establishing its presence in the premium NEV segment.
