Power and Almost Endless Range

Let’s talk about what makes this car tick. The Passion L uses a sophisticated plug-in hybrid system that pairs a 1.5T engine with two potent electric motors. The result is a combined 650 horsepower, giving this luxury sedan some serious kick. But power is only half the story. The car’s 63 kWh ternary lithium battery delivers an impressive 410 km of pure electric range, which is plenty for most daily commutes.

Once you factor in the 51L fuel tank, the total range stretches to a staggering 1,400 km. You could drive from Beijing to Shanghai and still have fuel to spare. The car is built on a cutting-edge 800V architecture, enabling 5C fast-charging that can juice the battery from 20% to 80% in just 12 minutes. That’s barely enough time to grab a coffee.

More Than Just Straight-Line Speed

Dongfeng’s Voyah brand didn’t just stuff a big battery and motors into a chassis and call it a day. The Passion L is built for drivers. It features a lightweight all-aluminum chassis with a double-wishbone front and five-link rear independent suspension, a setup you’d expect to find in a premium European sports sedan.

To make this large sedan feel nimble, Voyah added an omnidirectional 10° rear-wheel steering system. This helps it navigate tight city corners and improves stability at high speeds. An adaptive air suspension with CDC dampers constantly adjusts to the road, promising a ride that’s both comfortable and controlled. You can even raise the car by 65 mm to tackle trickier road conditions.

A Huawei-Powered Tech Hub on Wheels

Step inside, and it’s clear this car is as much about tech as it is about performance. The interior is dominated by a massive 16.1-inch 3K central screen running Huawei’s HarmonySpace 5, giving you a smooth and intuitive interface. This is complemented by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a trick 39-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) that projects key information right onto the windshield.

The real headline, however, is the Huawei Qiankun ADS 4.0 advanced driving system. Supported by a 192-line lidar, multiple radars, and a suite of cameras, it offers one of the most advanced semi-autonomous driving experiences available. For passengers, there are thoughtful touches everywhere, from the wood and leather trim to a 6.6L refrigerator tucked under the center console. Even rear-seat occupants get their own 8-inch LCD screen to play with. The Passion L isn’t just a car, it’s a rolling executive lounge.
