Zeekr has officially announced that the highly anticipated Zeekr 8X will hit the market on April 17. The SUV, which is based on the SEA-S super electric hybrid architecture, features a cutting-edge 900V high-voltage system. Pre-sale pricing for the model ranges from 376,800 to 516,800 RMB (approximately $52,000 to $71,300 USD).
The top-tier ‘Yaoying’ trim will be equipped with a powerful tri-motor electric drive system, carbon fiber styling components, and the debut of the next-generation G-ASD advanced driver-assistance system.
In terms of design, the Zeekr 8X inherits the aesthetic language of the 9X, available in five exterior colors: Cloud Amber Red, Moon Sea Gray, Basalt Gray, Polar Night Black, and Polar Day White. The front fascia features a bold metallic chrome grille with a vertical waterfall design, flanked by split headlights and C-shaped daytime running lights. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is also integrated. Measuring 5,100/1,998/1,780mm with a wheelbase of 3,069mm, the 8X is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV. The top-spec model will ride on wide 315mm tires.
Inside, the cabin offers both 5-seat and 6-seat configurations. All seats include heating, ventilation, and massage functions, with the driver’s seat featuring active side bolster support. Rear passengers enjoy premium amenities such as zero-gravity seats, dedicated touchscreens, entertainment displays, fold-out tables, footrests, a built-in refrigerator, and electric sunshades. The vehicle boasts 50 storage compartments and a trunk capacity ranging from 1,133L to a maximum of 2,200L.
Performance is a highlight, with the 900V architecture supporting a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system. The engine produces 205kW, while the tri-motor setup delivers a staggering combined output of 1,030kW. This allows the tri-motor version to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.96 seconds, while the dual-motor version achieves the same in 3.7 seconds. The vehicle supports 6C ultra-fast charging with 55.1kWh and 70kWh battery options, offering a maximum pure electric range of 410km and a total combined range of 1,416km. Charging from 20% to 80% takes only 9 minutes. Additionally, the 8X will feature the SEA AI digital chassis and a 48V active stabilizer bar system.
