Deepal S07 Huawei Qiankun Laser Edition Launches: Advanced LiDAR Smart Driving Starting at $22,000

On April 20, Deepal officially launched the S07 Huawei Qiankun Laser Edition. This mid-size SUV is available in two variants with official guide prices of 164,900 RMB ($22,745) and 174,900 RMB ($24,124). With limited-time cash discounts, the starting prices are reduced to 159,900 RMB ($22,055) and 169,900 RMB ($23,434), respectively. The primary highlight of this new edition is the upgrade from the Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 SE to the more advanced Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 Pro, providing more precise perception and more reliable intelligent driving capabilities.

The Deepal S07 Huawei Qiankun Laser Edition maintains the brand’s signature family design language. The slim, aggressive headlight units give the front fascia a sharp look, while large air intakes remain at the bottom. According to official details, the S07 Huawei Qiankun Laser Edition covers three core travel scenarios: highways, urban areas, and parking. The system can accurately identify surroundings even at night or in rain and snow, catering to both daily commutes and long-distance trips. The vehicle is offered in five colors: Luminous Yellow, Cloud Orange, Starry Black, Cold Star White, and Moon Rock Grey.

The hardware has been significantly upgraded to include a 27-sensor fusion perception system: 1 LiDAR unit, 3 4D millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. Its Urban Navigation Cruise Assist (NCA) can flexibly handle complex road conditions such as narrow road meetings and construction detours. The Highway NCA enables intelligent ramp entry/exit and obstacle avoidance, reducing driver fatigue during long hauls. For parking, the vehicle supports remote parking and tracking reverse, accurately identifying parking spot boundaries even in tight spaces or dead-end roads. Safety is enhanced by the CAS 4.0 all-dimensional collision avoidance system, which includes 20 active safety features.

From the side, the SUV features hidden door handles, dual five-spoke wheels, and a floating roof design, giving it a sleek and fashionable silhouette. The rear continues the family style with recognizable full-width taillights. The vehicle’s dimensions are 4,750mm in length, 1,930mm in width, and 1,625mm in height, with a 2,900mm wheelbase, positioning it as a mid-size SUV.

Inside, the S07 features a wrap-around cockpit design. A full-width air vent is paired with a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a 55-inch AR-HUD, and a 15.6-inch floating “Sunflower” touchscreen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. A 20-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system adds to the premium feel. The center console includes a wireless phone charging pad and dual cup holders for daily convenience.

The vehicle is powered by a rear-mounted single motor delivering 258 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 77.94 kWh “Golden Shield” lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 630 km (approx. 391 miles). It also features high-frequency pulse heating technology to ensure stable power output and charging efficiency in extremely cold environments. Additionally, the S07 is equipped with an FSD+HRS adaptive chassis to improve ride quality.

The Deepal S07 Huawei Qiankun Laser Edition will compete with models like the BYD Sea Lion 06, Song Ultra EV, and Leapmotor C11. While the competition in the $20,000 to $28,000 price range is fierce, the S07 stands out by offering high-end Huawei LiDAR-based intelligent driving technology at a very competitive price point, making it an attractive option for tech-focused family buyers.
