At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the 2026 MG4 officially hit the market with six available trims. The MSRP ranges from 68,800 to 102,800 RMB ($9,500 – $14,200), while a limited-time subsidy brings the starting price down to 65,800 – 98,800 RMB ($9,100 – $13,650). The new model features several key configuration upgrades. MG also reported strong sales performance, with the MG4 surpassing 14,000 units in March and maintaining monthly sales over 10,000 for six consecutive months.

In addition to the MG4 launch, MG announced that the MG 07 will be unveiled in the first half of the year, followed by the MG 4X in May. The MG 07 is positioned in the 150,000 to 200,000 RMB ($20,700 – $27,600) price bracket. It will be equipped with the “pure-blood” Momenta R7 system, featuring the R7 reinforcement learning world model and the dedicated XHEART X7 large model chip.

The 2026 MG4 retains the brand’s sporty DNA while adopting a new minimalist design philosophy. Its dimensions are 4,395 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width, and 1,551 mm in height, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase.

Inside, the cabin features a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel. Depending on the trim level, buyers can choose from three screen sizes: a 10.25-inch (720P), a 12.8-inch (1080P), or a massive 15.6-inch (2.5K) display. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, ensuring a smooth user experience.

Under the hood, the MG4 utilizes a 6-in-1 electric motor delivering a maximum power of 120 kW and a peak torque of 250 Nm, with a top speed of 160 km/h (approx. 100 mph). The vehicle is equipped with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries in two capacities: 42.8 kWh and 53.9 kWh. These provide a CLTC range of 437 km (271 miles) and 530 km (329 miles), respectively. Charging from 30% to 80% takes just 20 minutes. Notably, MG is also offering a version equipped with a semi-solid-state battery, which also achieves a 530 km range.
