AUDI is a joint brand between Audi and the state-owned automaker SAIC. Its first model entered China in August 2025 as the E5 Sportback shooting brake. According to China EV DataTracker, this model delivered 2,630 units, setting the all-time high with a Month-on-Month growth of 768%. In Q1 2026, AUDI delivered 3,353 vehicles. Now, the new brand kicked off the presales of its first SUV.
The AUDI E7X is a large crossover that follows the brand’s design language. It has a closed front end with an A-shaped air intake and distinguishing headlights. Other features of the E7X include optional cameras instead of side-view mirrors, a LiDAR sensor on the roof, retractable door handles, and sculpted fenders. The exact dimensions are 5049/1997/1710 mm with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm.
The AUDI E7X adopts DLP pixel headlights. They project warnings on the road due to the use of onboard radar while driving. The interior of this SUV tries to look as high-tech as possible. It adopts a giant 59-inch screen, an LCD instrument cluster, and displays for side-view cameras. Other features include a sporty steering wheel with a gear shifter mounted on the column, two wireless phone charging pads, a ceiling-mounted 21.4-inch screen, and a built-in fridge.
The E7X comes standard with five seats. However, the top-trim model offers two independent captain chairs in the second row that boast power leg rest and support zero-gravity mode. The center isle between these seats adopts a small touchscreen, two wireless phone chargers, and a roomy hidden compartment. The new crossover also boasts the Bose sound system with up to 26 speakers.
The AUDI E7X will support the latest Momenta R7 learning model to boost assisted driving capabilities. Its ADAS system will reportedly support three-point U-turns, passage through narrow roads, and emergency avoidance of small animals entering blind spots.
The entry-level AUDI A7X offers a single-motor RWD system for 300 kW (402 hp) and 500 Nm. This electric motor is powered by a CATL-made ternary NMC battery for 100 kWh. The car’s CLTC range reaches 705 km.
