GWM Tank 300 V6 Revealed: 360 HP Twin-Turbo Power and Rugged Off-Road Upgrades

The upcoming Tank 300 V6 has been spotted in the latest Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) filings, revealing a more aggressive off-road aesthetic and a significant powertrain upgrade.

Visually, the new V6 variant distinguishes itself with a unique honeycomb front grille, prominently featuring the “TANK” emblem. The front bumper has also been redesigned to provide a more rugged, trail-ready appearance.

Moving to the side profile, the vehicle is equipped with a snorkel, enhancing its wading capability, and rides on a set of premium-style wheels. The rear end receives a matching makeover with a new bumper design that integrates a dedicated towing hitch and electrical connection points, signaling its enhanced utility. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,886 mm in length, 1,984 mm in width, and 1,960 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,010 mm.

Under the hood, the highlight is the introduction of a more potent 3.0T V6 engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This longitudinal twin-turbocharged engine delivers a robust 360 horsepower (265 kW) and 500 Nm of torque, with a top speed rated at 170 km/h.
