At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, EXEED officially unveiled the EX9, a full-size flagship SUV that positions itself at the pinnacle of the brand’s lineup. Boasting a commanding presence, cutting-edge technology, and versatile powertrain options, the EX9 is designed to compete in the high-end luxury segment.
In terms of design, the EXEED EX9 adopts a completely new visual language. The front fascia is dominated by a broad, muscular stance that rivals the gravitas of luxury SUVs in the million-yuan class (approx. $138,500). The innovative lighting signature adds a futuristic touch to its imposing silhouette.
The EX9 is a powerhouse of technology. It features a roof-mounted LiDAR system, along with high-definition cameras, millimeter-wave radars, and ultrasonic sensors integrated into the windshield, side mirrors, fenders, and bumpers. This comprehensive sensor suite supports an advanced driving assistance system capable of full-scenario parking as well as urban and highway navigation.
Measuring 5.3 meters (approx. 208 inches) in length, the EX9 is a true behemoth. The side profile is characterized by clean, smooth surfaces and a robust D-pillar accented with wide trim. A chrome strip runs from the hood to the rear, enhancing the vehicle’s premium feel. The SUV sits on large, stylish alloy wheels, while the rear features a sophisticated lighting design and a split-opening “clamshell” tailgate.
Inside, the EX9 blends luxury with high-tech functionality. The wrap-around cockpit features a “Skyline” full-width display paired with a large floating central touchscreen. Premium amenities include active ambient lighting, an integrated fragrance system, a high-end audio system, an onboard refrigerator with heating and cooling functions, and wireless smartphone charging.
The cabin is configured with a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, ensuring ample room for passengers in every row. The seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions to provide a first-class travel experience.
Under the hood, the EXEED EX9 offers both Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) versions. The EREV variant delivers a pure electric range of 400 km (248 miles) and a combined range of 1,500 km (932 miles) on a full tank and charge. The BEV version offers a range of 700 km (435 miles) and utilizes solid-state battery technology. Notably, the BEV supports ultra-fast charging, capable of adding 500 km (310 miles) of range in just 5 minutes. Performance is further bolstered by a triple-motor setup and rear-wheel steering for enhanced maneuverability.
