Geely‘s Zeekr brand has officially announced that the updated Zeekr 009 will be launched on May 19. The premium MPV, which appeared in regulatory filings in March and opened for pre-sale at the Beijing Auto Show, will be available in three variants: the seven-seat Ultra, the seven-seat Ultra+ Qijia, and the six-seat Ultra+ Executive.
While the exterior maintains the current model’s design language, the cabin now features a redesigned steering wheel and a crystal rotary knob located below the centre console. Standard equipment includes multi-angle electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating for all seats.
The second row now offers dual zero-gravity seats equipped with 22-point massage and kneading functions. The seven-seat version features rotating second-row seats, complemented by a 17-inch OLED central ceiling-mounted screen.
The new Zeekr 009 is powered by the Thor-U chip, boasting 700 TOPS of computing power. It comes standard with the H7G-ASD assisted driving system and offers over 70 active safety configurations.
The dual-motor version of the new Zeekr 009 has been upgraded to a 900V high-voltage architecture, paired with a 6C Qilin battery from CATL.
In China, monthly sales of the Zeekr 009 were around 1,000 units last year but have dropped below 1,000 this year, despite reaching as high as 4,201 units in November 2024.
