BYD Teases New ‘Da Han’ Flagship Sedan: A New Era for the Dynasty Series

Based on preliminary information, the vehicle will be available in two primary configurations: an “800km AWD LiDAR Flagship” version and a “1008km RWD LiDAR Premium” version. In terms of design, the front fascia adopts the latest iteration of BYD’s “Dragon Face” design language, mirroring the aesthetic of the Da Tang. It features slim, elongated headlights connected by a full-width trim, complemented by aggressive lower bumper lines and sleek side air intakes. The roof-mounted LiDAR suggests the inclusion of BYD’s latest “Eye of the Gods” (Tianshen Zhiyan) B-level advanced driving assistance system, likely paired with the 5.0 software suite. The vehicle features a long hood and a flowing fastback silhouette, maintaining a low-slung, athletic stance despite its significant size. While official dimensions have not been released, industry reports suggest a length approaching 5.3 meters and a wheelbase exceeding 3.1 meters, placing it firmly in the D-segment luxury flagship category. The rear design is minimalist, likely featuring a full-width taillight assembly that echoes the front-end styling. Inside, the cabin layout shares significant similarities with the Da Tang, including a familiar steering wheel design. Performance-wise, the Da Han will offer both plug-in hybrid and pure electric powertrains. It will feature BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and advanced fast-charging technology. Furthermore, the vehicle is expected to be equipped with the DiSus (Yunlian) intelligent body control system and rear-wheel steering for enhanced handling.
