Dreame Technology Debuts Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition: A Rocket-Boosted EV with 0.9s Acceleration

On April 28, Dreame Technology hosted its “DREAME NEXT” global launch event in Silicon Valley, unveiling a comprehensive ecosystem of intelligent products spanning smart vehicles, home appliances, and personal care. The centerpiece of the “Drive Next” segment was the official debut of the Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition, a vehicle that marks Dreame’s high-profile entry into the intelligent automotive industry.

The most striking feature of the Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition is its propulsion system. The vehicle is equipped with a custom-developed dual solid rocket booster system. With a response time of just 150 milliseconds and a maximum thrust of 100 kN, the car achieves a staggering 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in just 0.9 seconds. According to Dreame’s technical leads, this system represents a civilian application of aerospace-grade technology, utilizing precision electronic controls to balance extreme performance with driving safety.

Beyond its acceleration, the Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition showcases Dreame’s deep technical reserves in batteries, chassis, and autonomous driving. The vehicle is powered by a sulfide-based all-solid-state battery with an energy density exceeding 450 Wh/kg. Currently entering the mass-production preparation phase, the battery offers a CLTC range of over 550 kilometers (approx. 342 miles). Compared to traditional lithium batteries, this solid-state solution provides higher energy density and enhanced safety, offering a robust solution for long-range travel.

The chassis utilizes a full wire-controlled architecture, supporting 14-degree-of-freedom non-linear collaborative control. With a response time of less than 1 millisecond, the system enables precise maneuvers such as lateral parking, tank turns, and stabilization during tire blowouts, significantly enhancing both convenience and safety.

In terms of intelligent driving, the vehicle features a three-system architecture based on a VLA (Vision-Language-Action) large model. This system focuses on “understanding the world, self-evolution, and human-machine co-driving.” It has already undergone rigorous testing in extreme scenarios, including heavy fog, mountain roads, and complex construction sites.

The hardware suite includes the flagship DHX1 LiDAR, which boasts an industry-leading 4,320 lines. This sensor can accurately identify traffic lights, lane markings, and small objects at a maximum detection range of 600 meters (approx. 1,968 feet). Even with only 10% reflectivity, it can detect objects within 400 meters and identify small targets like traffic cones at 300 meters or small animals at 280 meters.

The cockpit experience is powered by an on-device large model that acts as a “smart life central brain.” It allows for proactive services and cross-device scheduling, seamlessly connecting the vehicle with home robots and smart appliances to create a unified intelligent ecosystem between travel and home life.

The launch event featured Sebastian Thrun, a Stanford professor and renowned “father of autonomous driving,” who praised Dreame’s innovation. Thrun noted that the integration of aerospace technology and AI into the automotive sector provides a fresh perspective for the future of intelligent mobility.

Founded in 2017, Dreame Technology has built its foundation on high-speed digital motors and intelligent algorithms. With over 10,000 patent applications and 3,000 authorized patents globally, the company is leveraging its R&D strength to transition from a leader in smart home appliances to a formidable player in the global EV market.
