Huawei-Backed Luxeed V9 Debuts at 2026 Beijing Auto Show as a Tech-Forward Luxury MPV

The 2026 Beijing Auto Show witnessed the debut of the Luxeed V9, the first flagship MPV from the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA). The vehicle enters the market with a pre-sale price range of 399,800 to 529,800 RMB (approximately $55,200 to $73,100 USD).

Positioned to redefine the luxury MPV segment through advanced technology, the Luxeed V9 is designed to balance high-end business reception with family-oriented comfort. Measuring 5,359 mm in length, 2,009 mm in width, and 1,879 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm, the V9 offers a spacious interior. The longitudinal cabin space reaches 3,660 mm, providing 377 liters more space than the Toyota Alphard. The second-row captain’s chairs are 526 mm wide, allowing for easy passage, while the third row offers nearly 1 meter of headroom and legroom, with seats that can slide 200 mm.

The second-row seats feature a versatile rotation system supporting 45°, 90°, and 180° modes. The 45° angle facilitates entry and exit for elderly passengers or children, the 90° mode allows for outward viewing or easy child seat installation, and the 180° mode creates a 3.2-meter-long “living room” environment when facing the third row. Furthermore, the seats can be folded flat to form a bed over 2 meters long, ideal for camping.

The vehicle boasts 52 storage compartments, including a 790L trunk (with the third row moved forward) and a 94L hidden storage box. Comfort is further enhanced by dual zero-gravity seats in the second row, featuring active side-support technology that adjusts within one second during cornering, and mechanical massage functions that are significantly more powerful than traditional pneumatic systems.

A 10.9L dual-opening refrigerator is included, which shares the vehicle’s air conditioning compressor for rapid cooling. It also features military-grade cold storage agents, allowing it to maintain low temperatures for 12 hours after the vehicle is powered off, consuming only 1.8 kWh of electricity per day.

For health and wellness, the V9 is equipped with an onboard oxygen generator (up to 10L/min) and uses Nobel Prize-winning MOF materials to purify the air, effectively removing formaldehyde and PM2.5. The cabin also features UVC active sterilization, achieving a virus elimination rate of over 99.99%.

Safety is a priority, with high-strength steel, hot-formed steel, and aluminum alloys accounting for 91.6% of the body structure. The vehicle is equipped with 13 airbags, including innovative second-row wrap-around airbags and a 3.2-meter-long side curtain airbag. Active safety is managed by an 896-line LiDAR system, supporting comprehensive 360-degree collision prevention.

Inside, the cockpit features an integrated triple-screen setup, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and dual 17.2-inch screens for the center console and front passenger, complemented by a 21.4-inch 3K ceiling-mounted screen that supports direct connection to gaming consoles like the Switch and PS5.

The Luxeed V9 represents a clear strategy: by combining the inherent spaciousness of an MPV with Huawei’s expertise in intelligent technology, health, and human-machine interaction, it aims to address the technological shortcomings often found in traditional luxury MPVs.
